What's new in Legend AI
2026-07-23
Improved
Simple view is now a real calm workspace across the app
- Overview, Scans, symbols, Market, Alerts, Ask, Legends, Account, and trade import now lead with concise Simple summaries; Advanced restores the full research workspace.
- Mobile Search, Feedback, account links, and install controls now live in one More sheet instead of floating over charts and journal forms.
- Research alerts use typed condition fields in Simple view, while Advanced keeps the validated JSON editor for power users.
- Alpaca connections clearly disclose encrypted credential storage and automatic 15-minute fill checks; additional connected brokers remain approval-gated.

Fixed
Manual trade entry is fast and forgiving on phones
- Only ticker and entry price are required; stop, target, shares, setup, and journal context can all be added later.
- Simple view now puts a compact trade ticket near the top of the journal, while Advanced keeps the full research and review workflow.
- Trade saves now confirm success before the journal refreshes, and mobile Search and Feedback live in the bottom-nav More sheet.

New
The morning briefing can now reach an enrolled browser
- Pro members can explicitly opt into a weekday pre-open browser reminder from the account page; enabling saved-alert Web Push alone does not opt anyone in.
- The email and first browser reminder follow New York time at 8:30 AM, with one push-only retry at 8:45 that never repeats a successful per-browser delivery.
- The operating-system notification contains no ticker, position, or account data, opens the signed-in Playbook, and remains educational research rather than advice.

Improved
Simple and Advanced views now follow the account
- The existing Simple or Advanced watchlist choice now drives one shared display mode across the signed-in app and is mirrored safely in the current browser.
- The account page and user menu can switch views; Simple remains the calm default, while Advanced enables compact keyboard navigation with j, k, b, and Enter.
- This foundation does not change scanner facts, grades, entitlements, trades, alerts, or orders; richer mode-specific research layouts will build on the same owner setting.

Improved
The five core destinations now stay one action away
- Signed-in phones now keep Scan, Legends, Journal, Ask, and Me in one consistent bottom bar; wider screens use the same five destinations in a left rail.
- A persistent phone button and the existing slash shortcut now search both symbols and a finite catalog of app commands, including phrases such as show me Minervini VCPs.
- The command catalog only opens server-declared same-site destinations, and an automated navigation graph keeps every declared app destination within two actions.

Improved
Journal capture and portfolio heat now share the saved setup facts
- A valid scan link now reloads its canonical ticker, pattern, Legend, and readiness plan instead of trusting editable URL values.
- Open Positions now shows measured aggregate open R, and the position calculator shows current heat plus projected heat after the actual sized shares.
- The heat comparison is descriptive risk math, not financial advice, and it does not create, change, or place a trade or order.

New
Coaching now replays A-grade setups against the full journal
- Each unlocked Legend card compares realized R from recorded A/A+ entry-snapshot setups with realized R across every measured trade in that card.
- The replay prefers the saved trade Legend, excludes post-entry grade evidence, and shows measured, graded, and ungraded sample counts.
- This is a descriptive subset of recorded outcomes, not a forecast, causal promise, recommendation, regrade, or change to any journal row or broker order.

Improved
Open positions now use the saved Legend plan on every screen
- The Book now computes current R, unrealized return, stop state, and target progress for both long and short journal positions from immutable saved-plan risk.
- Each position carries its recorded Legend lens, factual earnings context, and a published-method checkpoint on both desktop and phone layouts.
- The review never changes a trade, stop, target, or broker order and replaces directive trading language with attributed educational evidence.

New
Saved alerts can now reach an enabled browser
- Web Push is an explicit per-browser choice on the Alerts page and uses the installed Legend AI service worker, encrypted browser subscription keys, and VAPID delivery.
- Multiple owned browsers receive each event at most once per device; expired endpoints are retired while quiet hours, cooldown, and the existing event dedup remain in force.
- Each notification opens the same private alert or journal action and is educational research, not a recommendation or an automatic order, trade, plan, or debrief change.
2026-07-14
New
Alerts now continue into the trade review loop
- Breakout, pattern-completion, and Minervini-pivot alerts can open the existing trade ticket with ticker, setup, Legend lens, and plan levels reloaded from the stored scan.
- A saved-stop event can open the matching account-owned trade to record the actual exit and continue into the existing post-trade review.
- Alert links remain educational and never place an order, close a trade, choose an outcome or mistake tag, change the saved plan, or generate a debrief automatically.

New
The watchlist now adapts to the trader and the setup
- Simple and Advanced views, sorting, and legend/stage/sector grouping now persist per account, while every row keeps the same server-owned setup facts.
- Each setup shows its exact distance from the detector-owned pivot and a transparent Buyable, Watch, Avoid, or Insufficient status from the canonical six-Legend evaluator.
- A one-tap pivot alert on watchlist, scanner, and symbol surfaces reuses the server-derived setup level, creates no order, and leaves the saved trade plan unchanged.

Every AI mentor surface now shares one fail-closed safety boundary
- Ask, market context, market recap, market open, coaching, and trade debriefs now reject impersonation, endorsement, guarantees, direct trade instructions, and attempts to override deterministic scanner rules.
- A trade debrief's entry verdict is owned by the same-ticker canonical Legend evaluator, so optional wording cannot upgrade an Avoid setup to Buyable or downgrade a rule-backed verdict.
- Every generated surface carries a local identity and advice disclosure. Missing, failed, malformed, or unsafe provider output falls back to a deterministic educational result instead of a server error.

New
A grounded market-open brief now starts the signed-in day
- Market Open with the Legends summarizes the latest saved regime, distribution pressure, Stage-2 breadth, setup inventory, and highest-ranked setups on the dashboard.
- Optional AI wording is accepted only when every ticker and number already exists in the strict fact digest; missing, unsafe, or invented output falls back to deterministic facts.
- A private saved-plan check lists real open positions at or within 2% of their immutable stop using the latest cached close. Position facts never go to the AI provider, and no order or stop is changed.
2026-07-14
New
One setup explanation now follows the full trade journal loop
- Symbol pages, scanner rows, and linked journal entries now reuse one deterministic explanation of the setup facts and the relevant published method.
- The explanation requires no language-model call, so it remains available when an AI provider is missing or unavailable.
- Public and compact views keep the pattern, stage, volume, and relative-strength context while exact entry and stop levels remain protected.

New
Ask now sees each open trade's trend and stop state
- Grounded Ask responses now include each real open position's dated cached close and exact live R alongside its 21-day and 50-day EMA distance.
- The saved immutable plan stop is labeled intact or breached with direction-aware distance; missing stop evidence stays explicitly unavailable.
- Trailing-stop guidance remains advisory-only and the canonical long-only engine is never applied to short positions or written back to an order.
2026-07-14
New
Trade one setup through any Legend's published method
- Each symbol setup now has a deterministic five-step playbook for pivot, entry, initial stop, trailing protection, and exit/invalidation.
- Switch among Minervini, O'Neil, Livermore, Weinstein, Darvas, and Wyckoff without changing the scanner's canonical setup geometry or verdict evidence.
- The published-method workflow and sources are public; exact setup prices remain Pro-only. The plan is educational and never changes an order or stop automatically.
2026-07-14
New
Legend screens now use the actual rules — with a new Consensus view
- Each mentor tab now keeps only setups that pass that mentor's deterministic methodology check as Buyable or Watch; owning a pattern name alone is not enough.
- The new Consensus tab requires at least two independent Legend checks to rate the same setup Buyable and names every agreeing methodology on the row.
- Mentor-hub totals and scanner-tab totals now share the same rule evaluation and unique-symbol contract, so the displayed counts match the setups users can open.

Scanner ranking now uses full-universe RS and calibrated setup quality
- RS Rank now applies O'Neil's quarterly weighting (40% latest quarter, 20% each for the 6-, 9-, and 12-month horizons) and ranks every eligible symbol from 1 to 99 across the complete scan universe.
- The default scanner order is now a fitted Setup Quality probability based only on signal-time volume, weekly-confirmation, and market-regime evidence.
- In a 1,522-outcome no-lookahead replay, the later 128-outcome holdout's top quintile reached the target before the stop 30.8% of the time versus 21.9% overall. Historical, not predictive.

VCP detection now has a frozen real-market acceptance set
- Ten hand-reviewed VCP windows and ten real non-VCP windows now form an offline regression set with immutable source hashes.
- The current detector recognizes 10/10 labeled positives and rejects 10/10 negatives, exceeding the required 8/10 positive threshold.
- The cases test pattern classification, not future returns; they do not make a setup predictive.

Weekly confirmation and market-risk discipline now share one verdict
- Every qualified daily pattern now records whether its weekly chart was evaluated and confirmed, so multi-timeframe evidence is auditable.
- When the market has more than five distribution days and no current Follow-Through Day, an otherwise actionable setup is shown as Watch.
- A 509-symbol no-lookahead replay measured 1,522 resolved setups: target-before-stop precision was 21.7% at baseline, 22.7% after weekly confirmation, and 26.0% after the market-risk gate. Historical, not predictive.

Replay percentages now wait for 30 observations
- Pattern and Legend proof rates are now hidden until at least 30 eligible, executable, non-overlapping observations exist.
- Thin samples still show that evidence is building, but no longer turn a small sample into a percentage claim.
- The target-before-stop calculation, source dates, and historical-not-predictive framing are unchanged.

New
Pivot Watch: see high-quality bases before the breakout
- Forming VCP and Cup & Handle bases within 5% of their pivot now show the exact remaining distance, price-tightness trend, and volume dry-up evidence.
- A recent-pace trading-day band gives planning context without pretending to forecast when a breakout will happen.
- Pivot Watch is visible inline on desktop and tap-to-expand on phones. It remains an educational watch level, never a buy signal.
- Opted-in Pro users can now receive a watchlist alert when a forming base is within 2% of its pivot, volume is drying up, and its 30-week moving average is rising. The note is an early watch condition, not a breakout or entry signal.

New
Proof everywhere: live outcomes, pattern aftermath, and a sharper funnel
- Every pattern page now shows "What Happened Next" — real forward returns 5/10/20/40 sessions after the scanner flagged that pattern, plus median best move and worst drawdown. Point-in-time, deduped, no lookahead.
- Hall of Fame entries show their actual price change since the signal date.
- The Proof Center classifies live breakout attempts by pattern, legend, and market regime, with an honest guide to reading target-before-stop observations and average R.
- New pages: the ten-minute daily routine (/how-to-use) and an honest comparison vs other scanners (/vs).
- Academy redesigned with per-legend identity; pricing CTAs clarified (free needs no card, the Pro trial does).

- This changelog page, so you can see what's shipping.
- Published security.txt for responsible vulnerability disclosure.
